How to Know Who Blocked Me on Instagram?

Instagram doesn’t officially let you know list of people who blocks you on insta.

Here are some tricks that you can use in order to find out the name of the people who blocked you on insta. These methods are not 100% working but that’s only what you can do.

1. Search Profile Name

When you get blocked on Insta, a series of things happen. In a nutshell, you lose all your privilege as a follower.  So assuming that you already have an idea about the person who blocked you, the simplest way to confirm is to search for that profile. If that profile doesn’t show on your search like it used to before, you might be blocked.

If that person follows you, simply open your profile, and tap on your followers. Now, scroll down and search for that person’s username. If you are unable to find them, go to search and type in the username. If the profile doesn’t come up, you might be blocked.

In order to confirm that, you can try searching for that profile with your friend’s account. If the profile shows up on a different account but not in yours, then you are definitely blocked.

2. Check Mutual Friends Profile

Another simple way to find whether you have been blocked or not is by checking your mutual friends’ account. Well basically, if you have been blocked by a person say Mr.X, you won’t be able to see Mr.X’s Instagram profile or any other content. So all you have to do is find a mutual friend that follows Mr.X.

  • Open your friend’s profile and open his/her followers’ list.
  • Then go to mutual friends, and search for Mr.X.
  • Now click on Mr.X username to open their profile.
  • Once you have opened the profile, you just need to see whether you are able to see the profile’s content or not. If you don’t see anything, despite it saying that Mr. X has 25 posts, you are blocked.

Another way of doing this is, by accessing Mr.X’s old comments.

  • First, Go to your friend’s posts and search for comments made by Mr.X.
  • Now click on Mr.X’s Username. This will lead you to Mr. X’s Instagram profile.
  • If you can’t see any content then you are blocked.

3. Check Notification

You might be wondering, what notification has to do with you getting blocked. Well, notifications are there to notify you about the recent activities. But they can do more than that. Since notifications are all about activity, they make a huge list of it. A list that might have details about the person you got blocked from. Because even if you delete your profile, your earlier activities will be on others’ notification menu.

So given a situation where you and X had a good social media relationship. Then suddenly he/she disappeared from your profile and you can’t find X anymore. In such a situation, all you need to do is

  • Open Instagram and go to the notifications section.
  • Under notifications, search for any notification related to X.
  • Now, click on the notification.
  • If the notification is for comment, it will lead you to the post. Here, click on the X’s username to access its profile.
  • If the notification is for liking a post, this will lead you directly to X’s profile.

Can you see the profile picture, post or any profile details? If not, then you are blocked.

4. Try Direct Messaging

You know what’s the worst way to find whether you have been blocked, or not. It is when you try to DM someone and it says “You can no longer send direct messages to this person “. If you get this notification while you were trying to DM, then my friend, you were definitely blocked. You can also confirm this by simply checking whether that person is still following you or not. If they are nowhere in your followers’ list, you are blocked.

And, Even if you were sending messages without following that person, if you can’t DM them anymore, you are blocked, my friend. You don’t need other methods to confirm that.

5. Use Fake ID to follow someone who blocked Me

As weird as it sounds, if you can’t use the other 4 options, then using a Fake ID is your only choice. The whole point of making this fake ID or using is to get access to the culprit’s profile. Now, I am not saying that we are going to hack it. All I am asking is to use a Fake ID when you can’t use any other ID.  Now, you can either use this fake ID for method one or two.

Or you can just follow the culprit’s profile. If the other person accepts the following request, then you will be able to visit their profile and search for your name on their followers’ list. This will confirm whether that person is following you or not. And, we all know that when you get blocked, you automatically get unfollowed.

Apps to Find Out List of People Who Blocked Me on Insta

Well, if you search for such Apps on Play Store, you will see plenty of names. But let me tell you that all these apps are fake.

Once you install these apps, it will take access of your instagram and then onwards it will start tracking your followers. If a follower un-follow you, it will simply notify about that.

If you can open the profile of the person who unfollowed you, it means he/she hasn’t blocked. But if you cannot find the profile, then there’s a high chance that the person blocked you or maybe deleted/deactivated his/her profile.

These apps will start  giving this data only once you install and assign them access to your Instagram. The prior data cannot be retained.

We highly recommend that you DO NOT INSTALL such apps. They may be a threat your data, piracy and security as most of these Apps require access to your Instagram Account as well as Phone Media Storage.

The Bottom Line

Getting blocked by someone is not a great feeling, even though if you wanted to. But if you are blocked, then you should understand that the other person is not really interested in you. However, if you are not sure and want to find out, then these methods will definitely help you.  Other than that, it is not much you can do except talking to the other person and resolving your issue.

That being said, if you ever get blocked by someone, save your dignity bro, Peace out!
